CONVOCATORIA ABIERTA

VORTICE ARGENTINA convoca a todos los artistas y mailartistas, argentinos y extranjeros, a participar de una Exhibición Internacional de Arte Correo a presentarse en la Barraca Vorticista de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, el 5 de diciembre de 2010.

CUPON DE EXHIBICION: Para la exposición se diseñó un cupón donde cada participante pueda realizar su obra. Se recibirán estampillas de artistas y/o series de estampillas realizadas mediante cualquier técnica y tema. Se presentará en la muestra un (1) cupón por participante. Puede fotocopiar el cupón y difundir entre sus amigos. El material recibido no será devuelto y formará parte del Archivo Vortice Argentina.

SOBRES INTERVENIDOS: Se hará una selección, por razones del espacio físico de la sala, de sobres recibidos para ser expuestos.

POSTALES Y PUBLICACIONES: La exhibición tendrá una sección de postales de artistas y publicaciones de Arte Correo, pertenecientes al Archivo Vortice Argentina. Aquellos artistas que editen publicaciones relacionadas al Arte Correo pueden enviarlas para la exhibición y formar parte del archivo.

CUPON DE ADHESION: El cupón de adhesión es para apoyar el proyecto para la emisión de un sello postal con el tema Arte Correo a cargo del Correo Argentino. Para aquellos que todavía no enviaron su adhesión al proyecto, pueden hacerlo hasta diciembre de 2010. Los datos deben estar completos y sólo serán aceptados los originales; caso contrario, la documentación no será válida.

DOCUMENTACION: Todas las obras de la muestra serán publicadas en el sitio de Vortice Argentina en Internet para que la exhibición pueda ser visitada en todo el país y en el exterior. A la vez, se editará el directorio completo de todos los participantes para que cualquier persona pueda imprimirlo, tanto por los participantes como por aquellos interesados en acceder a direcciones de artistas para iniciarse en Arte Correo. Lamentamos no poder contar con apoyo económico suficiente para responder a los cientos de participantes por vía postal.

* NOTA INFORMATIVA: La "Ultima Exposición Internacional de Arte Correo" se realizó en la Galería Arte Nuevo, el 5 de diciembre de 1975. Es la primera exposición de Arte Correo en la Argentina y fue organizada por los artistas argentinos Edgardo A.Vigo y Horacio Zabala; participaron de ella 199 artistas de 24 países.

INTERNATIONAL CALL TO ENTRIES

VORTICE ARGENTINA invites all Argentine and foreign artists and mail artists to participate in the International Mail Art Exhibition to be held at Barraca Vorticista of the City of Buenos Aires, in December 5, 2010. (1)

EXHIBITION ENTRY FORM: an entry form was designed for each participant to affix his or her stamp. Artist’s stamp and/or series of stamps made using any technique and theme shall be received. Only one (1) entry form with the stamp affixed or in any way included shall be exhibited per participant. Entry forms can be photocopied and distributed. The stamps received shall not be returned to participating artists as they will become part of Vortice Argentina’s Archive.

ENVELOPES INTERVENED UPON BY ARTISTS: Any envelopes intervened upon by artists will be subject to selection for exhibition to fit limited exhibition room.

POSTCARDS AND PUBLICATIONS: The exhibition will feature a section devoted to artists’ Mail Art post cards and publications from Vortice Argentina Archive. Artists editing Mail Art-related publications are invited to send them for exhibition and become part of Vortice’s Archive.

SUPPORT COUPON: This coupon is intended to support the project for the issuance of a Mail Art stamp by the Argentine Post. Those who have not yet sent their support to the project, can send it until December 2010. Data must be complete and only originals will be accepted; otherwise, the documentation will be null and void.

EXHIBITION DOCUMENTATION: All works in the exhibition will be published in Vortice Argentina website in order for the exhibition to be visited both in Argentina and abroad. A complete directory of all participants will be included which can be printed by anyone, whether a participant or any other party interested in having access to participating artists’ addresses and willing to be started in Mail Art activities. Our Association very much regrets its inability to reply to hundreds of participants through the regular mail due to economic constraints.

(1) Note: The “Last International Mail Art Exhibition” was held at Arte Nuevo Gallery, on December 5, 1975. It was the first Mail Art Exhibition held in Argentina and was organized by Argentine artists Edgardo Antonio Vigo and Horacio Zabala; 199 artists from 24 countries participated in that exhibition.
